This shadowbox embodies the amazing experience of my daughter's birth.  I created it in an 18" x 24" frame.

What's in it:
1. Photo of husband, Jason, supporting me in labor in the water, with the tapestry, and trees in the background.  Us just after she is born, with my midwife in the background and Brandy's newborn photo shoot with the whole family by Katherine Smith Photography.
2. Beads from birth circle friends bead blessing, and friends and family all over. (I'm wearing them in the photos.)  It's kind of hard to tell in the photo, but most of the beads are suspended on fishing line, and hanging free. 
3. Wheat weaving Ankh from my Aunt Theresa, which means "Life", along with a little piggy pin from Aunt Mary hiding on the edge.
4. Dried lavender from Aunt Theresa to signify the calm atmosphere of Brandy's entry into the world.

Everything in this piece has meaning to me.  This will be displayed in my daughter's bedroom.
